  1. I am waiting for the new one to be delivered. The app should honor the "click here" bit or remove it, as it doesn't work and is broken.
  2. Multiple times per day on this computer. Clicking that unsubscribe (click here) on the popup does nothing. It is broken. The checkboxes that are unchecked, I did several days ago myself in the settings and confirmed they are still unchecked when the popup shows. Worse yet, the popups are showing on top of a borderless full screen game window, interrupting the game and causing issues with deaths ingame.
  3. I've clicked the unsubscribe button on the popup on 3 different computers several times per day for the last several days. I've gone into advanced setup and unchecked all of the licensing checkboxes. Yet still, I am nagged that my license has expired on one and about to expire on others. Don't call me, I'll call you. How do I permanently disable all nags?
  4. Hello, I've been using ESET for years. Within the last month or so, I've ran into an issue where my self-signed certificate for my router is no longer trusted with ESET doing SSL/TLS filtering. The certificate is in the trusted root and works fine if I disable ESET SSL/TLS filtering now. I never had to do this before and it is somewhat recent. What changed and does ESET know they need to fix this bug? I even tried importing the certificate into the "list of known certificates" but that did not seem to have any effect.
  5. Exactly. I should be able to whitelist an app to not ask me anymore. Such as Dropbox. Which is the whole purpose of the "create rule and remember me". ESET can easily see the app is digitally signed by Dropbox.
  6. When is it on the roadmap to be implemented? I first brought it up over three years ago. More apps are moving to this, including Microsoft, and it's been a huge hassle constantly seeing the popup. In the case of Dropbox, the firewall is breaking the app's functionality. This seems to be a major defect for the app that needs to be remediated. Turning off interactive mode is not a fix for a broken feature of the app.
  7. I am running the firewall in interactive mode. Dropbox downloads itself, like Microsoft apps, to a directory with an ever-changing version number, thus preventing me from whitelisting the directory. How can I make ESET whitelist ALL Dropbox updates? Dropbox keeps terminating itself since it can't get an internet connection, thus constantly breaking syncing. Reference from 2.5 years ago:
  8. I uninstalled the apps and the notifications have ceased. I didn't use either anyway, so it seemed like a fair compromise. Open PowerShell as administrator. Run each of these: Get-AppxPackage *windows.photos* | Remove-AppxPackage Get-AppxPackage *zunemusic* | Remove-AppxPackage Get-AppxPackage *zunevideo* | Remove-AppxPackage
  9. Hello, I posted this same issue over 9 months ago (post not archived and can't reply to it) and it never received any attention. 9 months alter, and it's still a huge hassle with Win 10 Music app, Dropbox updats, etc. Dropbox update directories look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Update\Install\{9AADEAC8-31BC-4DA6-84A3-9B67958CEA7A}\DropboxClient_57.3.84.exe Any suggestions? I want to leave the firewall in interactive mode, but allow an exception to the firewall to allow updates from wildcarded directory names.
  10. Hello, Some of the annoying apps with Windows 10 (Music.UI, Video.UI, etc.) and apps like Adobe Flash and Dropbox all have dynamic directory paths. I have tried adding a whitelist/blacklist rule for the firewall for those applications, but it doesn't seem to work. I used an asterisk in the dynamic part of the directory path, but I am still getting popups asking if the app can use the internet. As an example, this is what I have set to deny: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_10.17072.16431.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Music.UI.exe I use C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_*\Music.UI.exe However, I still get asked every time it tries to connect to the internet. I want to leave the firewall in interactive mode. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
  11. Hello, Ever since I got a new Samsung TV, I frequently get a spam of these windows popping up. I'm not sure what causes them -- they do not happen every day. However, when they do, I get anywhere from 10-20 of them at once. Any ideas?
