Can someone please help? Hardware: MacbookPro OS: WIN XP under Bootcamp partition Unable to uninstall ESS Ver. 4 using its Uninstall function - it seems to half uninstall, leaving it inoperable, so that it is neither uninstalled nor operating. Any manual attempt to delete files Not Allowed. Only solution was to Restore Windows XP to a previous Restore Point, where ESS Ver. 4 was again working. Have tried the ESS Manual Uninstall Download to Desktop, but my keyboard is not working in the Command Window under Safe Mode - I presume due to some issue with Bootcamp and Windows Safe Mode, where the keyboard driver is not enabled. This really is not very user friendly... C.
