  1. That is exactly what I mentioned earlier "......I reverted back to the clean image and installed the version 16.0.22 and discovered the problem is not present anymore, the notifications are displayed...." and in Windows notifications settings ESET GUI was enabled soon after installation.Instead with 0.26 is not.

Oh well, maybe is just just a Windows bug, that"s all.

Thank you for your patience Marcos and for your replies.

  2. Thank you for your reply Marcos, indeed they were disabled.I enabled them right now I will wait to see if the notification update will be present.Still doesn"t explain why the version 0.22 had notifications in Windows setting enabled and version 0.26 does not.At least for me of course.

  3. Hello everyone

I was wondering if someone has the same problem or how can it be fixed. In Windows settings, the ESET the notifications are disabled. If I try to enable it it works, but in matter of one second it reverts back to disabled. It"s very upsetting if could put it that way, because the update notifications are not displayed (one thing that I love at ESET) and I think that in case of some detection I wouldn't be notified correctly. The notifications are enabled btw on ESET.

Another important thing you need to know...i have a clean Macrium Reflect image (i always do that prior an AV installation) and when I saw this problem,I reverted back to the clean image and installed the version 16.0.22 and discovered the problem is not present anymore, the notifications are displayed. After the version was updated automatically to 16.0.26....voila,the problem is back.

    Another odd thing...if I cancel a scan,a notification is displayed.And i repeat,the update notifications are not....

  4. Hello everyone

I"ve bought an Eset Mobile license on 02 March 2022 for another 2 years. To be honest, after purchase i didn't checked the details knowing that the license if not registered on My Eset account doesn't has an expiration date. However,my old license expires at the end of June and today when i tried to to use my new license,surprise...the license key is expired! So i've paid for another 2 years just for nothing...

I think it depends on which country you are in. I believe auto renewal applies to US and Canada, but not sure. Check your account https://support.eset.com/en/kb6205-manage-auto-pay-settings-for-your-eset-licenses-us-and-canada-customers-only

    https://www.eset.com/uk/auto-renewal-policy/

Thank you for your help,I am in Romania and i don"t think auto renewal or auto-pay billing is active, because I don"t find anywhere in my account the option to disable it.But the fact with NEXT PAYMENT in June/2022 was really concerning to me as I already explain,i don't want or need this feature.

Your license will need to be renewed in June 2022. You have purchased a 1 year license for your devices. Once expired updates will not work and you will not be fully protected.

Thank you,i was thinking about that. But my real concern is ESET will auto renew my license in June and take my money?Because i really prefer to do it myself just in case.

  7. Today i was verifying my licenses and i discovered that there is a date of a next payment.ASAIK Eset doesn"t have an auto renewal...the license become invalid after expiration and that"s it.Or I am wrong? Because i don"t remeber at purchasing the license to read about this. (for example Kaspersky has it but it can be disabled when the purchase is made.)

Again, I believe the Eset seller is Romania is an authorized third party retailer. In doesn't matter what the appearance of their web site displays. They are free to set their own policies pertaining to license purchase and renewal policies.

The above quote clearly indicates that the Eset retailer does not follow the same policies in regards to crediting existing license time to the newly installed license as a purchase made directly from Eset. Therefore, you need to directly contact Eset - Romania in regards to this question. Below is their contact information:

Yep it's the same site i was talking about.Kindly thank you for your support,i will shoot them a question about my little confusion.

Something to mention however....as i mentioned before i already own a 2 year license for the AV.I was reading few minutes ago the mail received in June 2020 and i came across these info.

"a) If you have already installed the type of ESET product purchased: Enter and activate the license key in the product only after the expiration of the existing one, in order to avoid any risk of losing the remaining interval of the old license. The newly purchased license does not lose its validity during the waiting period, its duration of use starts from the activation of the key in the product and not from the moment of its purchase. Recommended activation method in this case: open the product interface, click on Help and Support  Change License. Then go to the section - Enter the license key. Note: It is worth making sure that you are using the latest version of the purchased product. Otherwise, download and install the latest version by accessing www.eset.ro/download-home."............

    So,how accurate is this information?

No the license starts the moment you purchase it. I don’t know any licensed product that allows you to delay the start date.

I mean why all this contradictory informations, why not a simple and a plain info about the licensing?

Yes. But only if purchased from your in-country Eset eStore source.

Also, someone I believe posted recently that in Romania, the Eset eStore is run by a third party source. As such, I would verify with them about the addition of existing license time to a new license purchase.

Thank you again. It seems pretty official to me and not a third party company.

I think i will step in and make the purchase.

@rugk,yep,it's working ok in learning mode.

    In my test not.

    Don't know why.

@SweX,good news :) ...HIPS in Smart mode and it's working ok as well (in fact, with all modes). It's clear now...once the rule(s) is(are) created like in any HIPS,no more issues.

Can you say what rule(s) this is/are?
