Hello,
I'm trying to update the ESET Inspect Connector agent on PC automatically (which mean that if a new version of the agent is out tomorrow, it will be updated without any interaction). To do so i tried using the Module update and ESET Protect product upgrade tasks. However it does not seem to do update the eset inspect agent.
Are there any way to do it ? Thank you
Hi, as I know, Eset inspect connector didn't have Auto update feature. You can create Install task with new version of ESET Inspect connector and run on workstations which would like to update.

Microsoft didn't fix their bad update?

Just create report with PC names, encryption statuses

We have such group created, but unfortunately it did not protect us from miss click. We can close the topic, maybe in the future such functionality will be added - I think it would be useful.
Thank You.
You can use Description, Tags, Static groups to add the specific workstations

The appropriate update files must first be published in the repository. As I wrote, we are working on adding the functionality to enforce autoupdates from the ESET PROTECT console before they are enabled globally for all Endpoint users.
That sounds great @Marcos👍
This functional we really need.

V9.1.2060 was released yesterday. Manually checking for update the day before yesterday would not have upgraded Endpoint to v9.1.2060.
Having auto-update enabled will not upgrade Endpoint to the latest version now unless you manually check for update. We will start gradually distributing auto-update in a couple of days with full release since Nov 1.
@Marcos Hi, could you please say if Endpoint v9.1.2060 distributing for auto-update?

3D software website hxxp://moi3d[.]com/download[.]htm have 90-day trial for Windows hxxp://moi3d[.]com/4.0/trial/moi_v4_trial_setup[.]exe
ESET Endpoint Security detect this file as A Variant Of Win64/Packed.Themida.L. Checken at VirusTotal and there is only ESET have detection. Could it be a false positive?

Hello, I have upgraded to 9.1.2060 from 9.1.2057. In 50% of cases, the client needed to reboot twice. After the first reboot, Eset asked to reboot again.
EDIT: No need to restart email protection.
Fabio
It might be that in your organization in domain configuration is turned on Fast Boot for Windows workstations. At Fast Boot OS cant to finist all processes and thats why you need make reboot more and mora times.

@st3fan i think you have install task with chooseen position "Install the latest version", so even if you think to install version 9.1.2057.0 or later, now it will be install latest version 9.1.2060.0.

@Маркос Thanks for detailed answer.

Hi, we have a good auto-update case to version 9.0.2046.0, but now auto-update to the newest version didn't work.
We have the same configurations, just only set up the newest version where updates must stop. Testing when we did attach the version and when to stop updates. But the result is the same, no one PS, from 1000+ didn't update. Of course, PCs have shutdown or cleared cache on a few testing PCs.
Maybe auto-update now is disabled globally?
Thanks for your attention. -

Hello @BenoitR,
The uPCU is released with a throttling from the start, the Criterion is randomness 😉
This release has a 20% throttling set, meaning every fifth request will be served to make the rollout curve smooth.
The ratio is expected to growth to full 100% in upcoming 7-14 days.
Manually requested updates will override the throttling.
Peter
Hello Peter,
auto-updates uPCU works fine with throttling on random PCs.
Could you please say how to manually push uPCU updates with override throttling. Thanks.

It's works! Great. No so fast but for start it is normal i think.

Good afternoon @Marcos, is there any confirmation from the company ESET that auto-update is already working and we can test it on our infrastructure with v9.0.2046.0? Thank you.

If you have this issue on Mac or Linux, first make sure that temporarily uninstalling ESET makes a difference. If so, collect logs as per the appropriate KB and open a support ticket with your local ESET distributor for further troubleshooting.
@Marcos On PCs with MacOS users where ESET Endpoint Security was removed, Google Chrome crashes disappear. When we installed ESET Antivirus, there are no crashes too. Probably some problem with the firewall module.
MacOS and Google Chrome from first time i write post updated to the latest versions and still actucal problem.
P.S.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to collect logs due to the fact that users work remotely and crashes appear randomly at different times. It is not possible to reproduce a crash in a small time interval for logging.

@Marcos we have the same problems with crashes of Google Chrome latest version 92.0.4515.107 on MacOS devises all versions where installed latest version of ESET Endpoint Security 6.10.910.0.
