Currently if the secure all browsers option is enabled and an Eset supported browser is used, the browser is always opening in protected mode. That is not correct. Protected mode browser mode should only enabled for web sites contained in Eset's internal list or those specifically created by the user to do so.

My experience of this matches @itman and I agree that there is a bug here.  I don't want ALL of my browser sessions to be opened by default in secured mode (amongst other things there are considerations of history/cookies/cache and various extensions).  However, if secure all browsers is not selected, B&PP is failing to respect the website re-direction list that I have configured and this opening my 'banking' websites in a normal tab.  [I am using Chrome 87.0.4280.141 and ESET SSP 14.0.22.0]

    This is very frustrating.

Adding to above, I have now realised that Secure all browsers and Enable protected websites redirection are mutually exclusive, so you certainly can't use both modes.  However, in redirection mode, why won't my secure list websites redirect?  (they don't give an error, they just open in a normal tab)

  3. I am using ESS 7.0.302.26 on a Windows 7 machine.  I've just noticed the HIPS log file has grown to almost 7GB and growing.  Yes, the "Log all blocked operations" option was set.

If I try to display the HIPS log, ESS has a long think about it, and then displays nothing.  I can't find any option to delete or reset this file, and the "Optimize (log files) now" process doesn't achieve anything in this regard.

In hindsight, probably having the log all block operations selected permanently has led to this situation, but I prefer to be able to check the details of protection operations.

How can I clear this log file?
