I ran the uninstaller in safe mode.  There was old files which were removed but it still created the same error message when trying to install.  Very frustrating.

It has created a zipfile which I attatched.

Unable to provide logs as ESET internet security has not been installed yet, as I said in the original post.

I was installing for the first time.

HI,

I am trying to run an install (internet security)and I keep getting 'The installation was not completed successfully - error code MSI.1401.'

I have run as administrator and run the troubleshooting, with no luck.  I tried searching the error code but did not get an answer.

I have run the AV removal tool and there is no other AV apps on here.

I have also tried switching off windows defender.  No luck with any of these.

I hope someone can help before I call.
