    It is 14.0.22.0 that has the issue with continuous restart requests.

    I don't see a way to download/install a particular version ... I just see a generic installer.

    So, it's a known issue? I didn't see anything when I searched before posting here.

    Since 14.0.22.0 installed, every start of ESET demands a restart. At the moment not all required protection features are active.
