  1. Sorry, we have an enterprise environment where all software is centrally managed and auto-update has been disabled in ESET PROTECT.

This morning, I created a Software Installation Task to install the download .msi file from an SMB using the reboot option.

Same result.  Update completes.  Restart dialog counts down from 30 seconds and then closes at 17 seconds leaving ESET in must reboot status.

There is something wrong within the 11.0.2044 installer.

We will hold off on this release until this is fixed.

  2. From ESET Protect Console, we right click the computer->Update->Update ESET Products

ESET AV is updated from 11.0.2032 to 11.0.2044.  The 2044 splash screen appears then the restart dialog is presented.

The Restart dialog counts down to the 17 second mark and then closes without a reboot.

The computer and the eset installation is left in a computer must be rebooted state.

Same result whether there is someone logged into the computer or not.

Tried this on 5 Windows 10 22H2 24-02 computers with same result.

    Agent release is 11.0.503

  3. We are currently running ESET Protect 9.0.2144 on CentOS 7.9.2009.  We have a popup upgrade available within the console.  The RSS feed shows that 9.1 is available.  The RSS feed also shows Hotfixes 9.1.18.1 and 9.1.18.2

How do we know which hotfix applies to Windows and which to Linux server?  What version will the popup option on the console install?  Looked at many KB articles and cannot determine how to get to 9.1

Want to get to 9.1 but not really sure how to proceed.  Maybe wait for 9.2?

  4. https://help.eset.com/protect_cloud/en-US/auto_updates.html is the link for Cloud

https://help.eset.com/protect_admin/90/en-US/auto_updates.html is the link for Onprem

Each indicates that the product update feature will start 60 days from the notification of the functionality. Noted.

There is no statement about "newer versions starts to be distributed about one month after the release"

ESET AV 9.0.2046 was released last week.  How do we know when it will install?  We need some visibility into this process and/or the ability to control it.  We usually update about 2 weeks after release .  Looks like we will stay with our current processes.  I'll open a ticket with support about this.
