  1. I said it, all sorts of ridiculous counter-questions, like we're boneheads. 😠 We always enter "Germany" as the country and we also registered it on "Germany" in my.eset.com. As usual, all connections are routed through the Tor network last. No matter if registration or activation. This has been working like this for years. The country excuse does not count here. Because Tor connections change at least 30 minutes. Sorry, if ESET really locked this now for IP localization, they must have let some nerds into the activation routines who have no idea about real network security.
  2. Hello! This error occurs now, if we (different students) want to extend our PC-World versions (1 year, start 09/2019). Twice the input worked, but not now (1x start for 120 days, 1x extension for next 120 days) . As we have read here, the answers to inquiries are gladly blocked with all kinds of counter-questions, e.g. requesting ID's. This does not exist in this case. You just enter your data and code on the page (https://www.eset.com/de/pcwelt-eis-1/) and get a current serial. All of which have also been accepted at my.eset.com and will be shown as valid until 2020-10-07. However, they cannot be activated in EIS. The error code ACT.33 comes up. Sometimes we read here in answers of the moderators something about "country specific". How do you want to recognize this, if for example all users use Gmail or ICloud?! How does the system know where the user is? That was never a problem before. We have been using a triple nested VPN for many years and have always been able to activate it. The excuse is not valid. Sorry, ESET, but if you tamper with your system, don't blame the user! All the best.
