How to block Spotify APP on Windows, URL Filter by category only works with browser application, if I use app location to block with firewall it isn´t permanent and changes with version upgrade.

Hi,
I´m trying to migrate from ERA VA 6.5 to ESMC 7 and process can´t be finished, after Pull database from ERA 6.5 VA the console of new ESMC 7 hangs on  "Configuring ESMC appliance, please wait..." . I´ve followed these documented methods, is there any other way to do that?

I want to create a subgroup with mobile computers to apply another update policy, all windows computers are using proxy settings but mobile computer needs 2 update profiles one with local proxy and one second profile with ESET updater servers. I´ve created a dynamic subgroup but can´t create a template to select more then one computer.

My client have 20 or more subnets and want create Dynamic Groups based on that.

Can´t make Dynamic Group (v6) work with subnetwork template. I want to organize my clients with groups with IP subnets, like 10.100.1.0 ou 10.200.1.0 using Network IP addresses . Network IP addresses.IP subnetwork.

EDIT: i don't know why but i think eset has a script overwriting all the iptable information at boot located in /root/firewall.sh so if you put the following entries in this script it will work even after a reboot is performed :

iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 3128 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -p tcp -m tcp --dport 3128 -j ACCEPT

 

The second line generates an error

[root@era ~]# iptables -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -p tcp -m tcp --dport 3128 -j ACCEPT

iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.

 

And I put these lines in /root/firewall.sh and after reboot port 3128 was blocked, I have to execute again iptables commands and restart it

If ERAS6 is using proxy config, name resolution will be made trough proxy or will be by Windows DNS Client on this server? Because nslookup is ok but there is no computer name next to IP.

Hello, anyone knows how to deploy ERA Agent with live installer from login script with a standard domain user account without administrative rights? If not possible is there any other method to deploy agent that is not push install because  company´s security policy doesn´t allow RPC access on workstations.

Hi, how I can retrieve used license, I´ve installed endpoint and activated them but after that computer was disconnected from network and reinstalled/replaced without deactivation, how I can tell to ESET License Administrator that this computer doesn´t exist anymore and this license can reused in another computer?

Company have proxy for all network but I don´t know if that proxy can cache large files like Endpoint Agent and Clients, it will be more easy make Apache HTTP Proxy access forward proxy and configure ERA, Clients and Agent with the same proxy configuration, besides, I can´t deploy Agent,  Live Installer or Remote Installation doesn´t work only Local method and I need to demonstrate to my client with 1500 nodes that ESET Endpoint V6 will replace Symantec Endpoint without headaches.
