  1. In ESET Remote Administrator Console, in the tab Clients, at the top our server has "Some Old" in the Virus Signature DB State. Even after going into Tools / Server options / Updates and clicking Update Now. How to have the latest?
  2. We deployed ESET Endpoint Antivirus on a dozen of computers yesterday. 3 of them cannot be installed, even a simple diagnostics just hangs at In Progress. We can ping them, they are online, not in sleep mode, we rebooted the computer, they do not have an antivirus on it, windows firewall is even disabled. They are simple Windows 7 Pro. Cannot find any log on what's going on.
  3. Hi, I have ESET Remote Administrator Console and in the Remote Install tab, the Default Search Task still shows an old IP of a computer. It points to 192.168.1.128, however if you ping the computer it will reply with 192.168.1.37 Even if I click on Run to refresh it, it doesn't work. If I create a new Search Task, it will show the new IP. The Search Result Filter is the same in both Search Tasks. Seems like the Run button just doesn't work as expected. Even clicking on refresh at the top doesn't work either. I have ESET RAC 5.1.38.0
  4. Thanks, that's what I needed and not a copy/paste of the ESET documentation that i already read multiple times. A knowledge of the AD login script is needed and you need to have an already login script on your domain. Unfortunately that simple sentence is not in the ESET documentation. We didn't had any login script in the domain which is why it wasn't working of course. You can easily make it work by reading this: hxxp://www.petri.co.il/setting-up-logon-script-through-active-directory-users-computers-windows-server-2008.htm
  5. Everything's clear except the part about the "Script folder" field. Are we trying to modify the autoexec.bat file on the client's computer? Are we adding a script in the Startup folder of the client's computer? How do the client's computer knows it has to run the ESET login script when it's booting up? Especially when it's a laptop not connected to the network at the moment. Where is this script? Do we need to create one beforehand? Is the script the einstaller.exe file or the ESET Endpoint Security.msi file? Cheers
  6. Push installs is working fine, however the user has to be logged on, we'd like to use the Logon script installation procedure instead. The documentation covering this topic doesn't provide much information, I cannot make it work. Not sure what the field "Folder", "Share" and "Script folder" should point to. Clicking Edit gives me an empty box. Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated. A screenshot even more.
  7. Thanks for the answer, I was able to figure it out. Actions / Manage packages / Choose your package / Edit selection configuration / Windows desktop v5 / Personal Firewall / Settings and there's an option for Do not show the dialog with protection mode I tried creating a trusted zone in "Rule setup" / Zones but that never worked.
  8. When doing a push install of ESET Endpoint Security on a client machine, he gets a window "New network connection detected" and needs to choose from either Strict protection or Allow sharing. A push install should not ask this on the client's machine. How to get rid of it? Here's the window: hxxp://kb.eset.com/library/ESET/KB%20Team%20Only/SOLN3116/SOLN3116FIG1-1.png
