  7. Hi, 1 ) After migrating endpoint (version 5.x) to a new server and upgrade to 7.x ,shows hips not enabled . But in the policy it is enabled . What are the problem if we apply multiple policies to a a group . for example , policy1 has only set password policy2 has rules ( firewall rules ) for network protection .   14. Hi , I created few rule in HIPS to block cscript , Then removed the hips rule . But the client still showing the rule even after removed . (Client and server are communicating properly ) Verified the policy did not applied to any other dynamic and static group I really don't know what is wrong Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the reply I am planning to use the HIPS rules (and also the firewall rules mentioned in the discussion ) from the below link to protect from ransomeware . https://techcenter.eset.nl/kb/articles/configure-hips-rules-for-eset-business-products-to-protect-against-ransomware For software deployment I am using pdq ,manageengine and sccm also which basically uses custom vb and powershell scripts I want to exclude those deployment from the hips and the firewall rules Please advise Thanks

  19. Hi, I was trying to run vbscript remotely from allowed remote host . In firewall rules port 135 ,1026-1029,445 are opened apart from that I have policies like attached But it is giving the error remote connection failed Please help Thanks

  22. Hi, In the first policy there is no rule for icmp In second policy there is only icmp policy "The second policy will overwrite all of the settings of the first one. " So all the policy like deny "cscript " in the first policy will be replaced ? "Replace" means does it remove even if there is no relation between the rules ? for example , deny cscript and allow icmp are totally different rules Thanks
