After the last update we have been reported issues with non-functional modules. Affected are Windows 8.1 based operating systems, ie. Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1.
Do not reboot the machine without disabling Protected service in the HIPS setup first (do not forget to re-enable it and reboot the machine once the issue has been fixed).
Updates have been stopped to mitigate the issue.
11:50 CEST: A newer update (engine 28235) with a fix is being uploaded to the update servers right now which may take a while to complete. The update will be downloaded automatically or you can run manual update when available.
If you want to make sure that everything works, download the Eicar test file from https://secure.eicar.org/eicar.com which should be normally detected.
