  1. I have tried uninstalling Eset, rebooted then tried downloading the latest version. On the install I get 'The installation was not completed successfully' and install error 1603 fatal error during installation.

I know there is not malware activity as there was no issue prior to win 10 upgrade. So this has meant that I am now using Windows Defender which is not my first choice.

  2. I found hxxp://slashgenie.com/how-to-configure-eset-on-windows-10-enable-hips/thinking that it would resolve the issue, unfortunately when I open ESET there is nothing in the window apart from the eset logo and a tick on the top.

Should I uninstall eset and reinstall, has anyone tried this and has it worked?
  3. I have recently upgraded a Windows 7 laptop to Windows 10 without issue so I took the gamble that upgrading my desktop to Windows 10 from 7 would be straight forward.  Unfortunately I am having the same issue as some above. Eset keeps throwing 'Error communicating with kernel' and restarting, I have had up to 8 ESET icons in my system tray up to now.  I am running version 8.0.319.0 with virus signature database 12397.  I have submitted a ticket but also realise we are in early days of windows 10.  Has anyone managed to solve this? if so how?
