  1. Perhaps you blocked Internet access for one of the crucial system processes, such as svchost.exe. Use interactive mode only if you know how to properly respond when asked to allow or block certain communication.

I have automatic mode on and it is querying me for EVERY system change....HELP!....reboot does not help...credentials and log provided as needed.

Thanks in advance for your speedy reply,

  2. Router make and model ?

Try adding the local subnet to the trusted and safe zone !! That will fix it and get you going. :)

if you need remote assistance let us know !

    Subnet? Like 255.255.255.0?

Or the actual router 192.168.1.1 ?

I turn off firewall, and I get Internet access… I turn it back on, and no internet..

What is the setting for NOT blocking my own router from in and outbound port 80??...seems to be a bug in the install process!

    Please advise

    Chas

  3. What about temporarily disabling protocol filtering in the Web protection setup? Does it make a difference?

Does temporarily changing firewall integration to "Personal protocol filtering is completely disabled" or "Only scan application protocols" make a difference? If not, what about temporarily disabling application protocol filtering or disabling ESET Lightweight filter in your LAN connection properties?

Same problem...I install windows 10, and then ESS and I lose my Internet connection. Disabling firewall gives me the internet back.

I seem to recall a certain setting that has escaped my memory at the moment where I can turn off filtering on 192.168.1.1

… My routers IP address , please advise on quick and dirty solution.

    Chas
