I've just installed Linux Lite 3.0 (based on Ubuntu 16.04) on a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300.
On this laptop the Fn key combinations are used to alter screen brightness, i.e. Fn+F6, decrease; Fn+F7, increase brightness. However, when ESET for Linux is installed on the machine the 'screen brightness keys' stop functioning.
On removal of ESET from the PC, screen brightness control resumes.
What is the cause of this and how can it be rectified? Is it possible to have ESET installed on this machine without impairing control of screen brightness?
