Remote install remains in the "Execution is planned" state.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

I'm having issues with remote installations of an ESET business product. When I create a new client task to install End Point Anti-virus, the task remains in the "Execution is planned" state. Nothing happens from this point. Anti-virus is not installed on the client machine.

Here is what I know:

  • Running ESET Remote Administrator (Server) v. 6.3.148.0 and ESET Remote Administrator (Web Console) v. 6.3.114.0 on a Debian server.
  • I am able to remotely install the ESET agent on client machines.
  • I have opened the correct ports both on the server and the clients according to the documentation.
  • I am able to ping the clients on the internal network.

I would really love if someone could help me troubleshoot this issue.

If you check client details in the Computers pane, is there a recent date/time of the last connection displayed? If not, check C:\ProgramData\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Agent\EraAgentApplicationData\Logs\status.html on a problematic client and make sure that the status does not indicate any errors.
