Cannot update virus signature

This is a new one on me.

 

On one computer I get the message : "Virus signature update ended with an error"

 

My last successful update was 9/10/2013

 

I am using that computer for this post so it certainly is on line.

 

I've given up trying to get a successful update so I am coming to you experts.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One more question - I have licenses for 4 computers. Should I clear the other computers while I'm at it?
