Administrators Marcos 5,290 Posted October 4, 2016 Administrators Share Posted October 4, 2016 We'd recommend using the latest v9 or simply wait a bit for v10 to be released and upgrade then. If you want to preserve rules, I'd recommend installing v9/v10 over an older version. Note that unlike older versions, v9+ evaluates rules from the top to the bottom in the order they appear in the list. Older versions evaluated firewall rules from less general to more general while blocking rules took precedence over allowing rules.

During upgrade, more specific rules (or rules with the block action if more are equally specific) should be put higher in the list of rules to ensure that they will work the same way as before the upgrade. ESET Insiders rekun 43 Posted October 25, 2016 ESET Insiders Share Posted October 25, 2016 Hi Mantra Protection is not something you see, it is something you have. Version 5 is very old, and there have been a lot of improvement all about the product. What is keeping you from upgrading? I can only speak for myself, but I would hate being infected, and knowing it could have been prevented if I had upgraded my av
