I renewed my ESET antivirus, but since I did, the silver and blue "mascot" no longer appears on startup.  Can I get it back?

Also, I received an email from you saying that I had renewed and I would be receiving a second confirmation letter.  I got this letter, but then I got another letter with an attachment asking me to open the attachment to view my order, which I had just done with the second letter.  Maybe this was spam?  I didn't open the attachment, just thought you should know about the email.

Not sure what you mean by "mascot". The splash-screen which appears when ESET is starting on Windows startup? Do you see ekrn.exe and egui.exe running in the task manager?

As for the license email, I'd suggest contacting your local reseller as they may use their own registration system that may send out email differently than in other countries.

You mean the startup splash screen.

 

Make sure you have it enabled by opening the main window of NOD32, then go to Setup, then click on the Advanced Setup wrench tool in the bottom right, then follow the below illustration:
