I recently have noticed a strange problem when opening folders , in particular if opening a partition folder to see what's stored there,

I double click to open and nothing no response, i double click my mouse again and it opens there is also a very small delay , So after ruling out the posibilty of a failing HDD or sata cable, i decided to experiment

In eset  in the setup menu selected real time file system protection menu selected configure  and unselected the scan on (open file) option , and the unresponsive folder opening issue  dissapeared , i re enabled it and to problem returned, the delay also disapeared with the open file option unchecked

So is this workaround ok ,or should eset be fixing this?  btw my o/s is still win xp sp3

In order to troubleshoot the issue, we'd need a Process Monitor log from an issue replication for analysis. When you create one, compress it, upload it to a safe location and pm me the download link.
