Smart Version 9.0.402.0 problems

Running Windows 10. Prompted to restart PC  to set up the above version. After this was done noticed that Personal Firewall, IDS, and Botnet Protection was "non functional". How do I get them "functional" again?

Hello and welcome dougieles. If another reboot did not help, The 1st (easiest) thing I would try is doing a repair of ESS via control panel>programs. If that doesn't work, an uninstall and re-install might be in order.

In case of issues with upgrade to a newer version, it'd be helpful if you could provide us with information about the version of the ESET product you had installed before the upgrade.
