nickjc 0 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Will ESET support windows XP users beyond the windows XP April end of life date? Thanks ! Nick
nickjc 0 Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 Yes ! Fantastic, as I have a problem upgrading to windows 7 or 8, I just do not like the feel of it and many applications that I use are XP dependent. Do you have a link to the ESET corp release of that information? Also, as an aside and I am not sure this has been considered, maybe & probably it has. But has the management of ESET thought about providing additonal exploit protection in their software, that typically would have been provided by MS as part of their regular security updates? Thanks for taking the time to respond
ESET Insiders puff-m-d 120 Posted September 8, 2013 ESET Insiders Posted September 8, 2013 Hello, You can see this post by Aryeh Goretsky here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/51-future-changes-to-eset-smart-security/page-3#entry3474 for more information on XP end of life...
SweX 871 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 But has the management of ESET thought about providing additonal exploit protection in their software. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Hmmm...Not sure, but the new Vulnerability Shield in V7 (only in ESS) could be a good contender for this I guess. We haven't heard much about how VS works or it's exact purpose, but I am sure ESET can tell us some more if we ask kindly?
