Jakkuson 0
So the Eset NOD32 antivirus program started offering me a free upgrade to newer version so naturally I accepted the offer. Free and upgraded are two of my favorite things combined. However when I start the installer from the ESET program itself, it crashes instantly and when I start the installation from the web based download, the installer works its way through just nice but close to the end it says that it's missing NUP2870.msi file and it cannot find it. Of course it cannot find it because even my ultra file search cannot find it. In other words, the installer has never downloaded it. How can I fix this problem? Is there a link where I can download the whole standalone upgrade installer? When I hit cancel to the attempt of finding the missing msi, the installer stops with error 1603. Administrators Marcos 5,274 Posted August 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 13, 2016 Most likely the original msi installation file has been removed from c:\windows\installer folder in the mean time. Try removing ESET using the Uninstall tool as per the instructions at hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2289/.
