drhex2000 0
Is there any news on this? 3ware doesn't recommend to use the unaligned buffer "fix" so can you please get us a sig which doesn't exhibit this problem? Florian
Willtech 0
Hi All, Can confirm that this issue only causes BSOD if scanning of Boot Sectors is enabled for the particular scan configuration Objects. With Boot Sectors un-checked the issue goes away. Have not bisected that further by Scan Options yet if it makes any difference but please feel free to do so. At least this narrows it down a bit. Cheers
ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 1,130 Posted October 3, 2013 ESET Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2013 Hello, our dev team found probable root cause for this issue and prepared a fix. It is included in Virus signature database 8868P and higher (the P is also important). So please switch from regular update to pre-release in update settings, check if your ESET product has updated to Virus signature database 8868P or higher and let us know. Thank you for the cooperation.
cgonzalez@icco.com 0
I am trying this but I cannot get 8868P. It automatically downloads 8872 without P at the end. Does 8872 contain the fix too? This problem was driving me nuts. We spent so much time troubleshooting it thinking it was the disks or the controller!
Administrators Marcos 5,074 Posted October 4, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 4, 2013 In order to download the engine ending with "P", you'll need to switch to pre-release updates in the advanced update setup.
