Recommended Approach to Agent Update?

Hi folks,

 

A simple question, hopefully. What's the recommended approach to updating the agent?

 

In my case I have an installed agent of 6.3.136.0, and the latest version is 6.4.283.0.

 

Should this be done as a server task, much like when it's installed, or a client task? Does it matter?

Recommended way it to use client task Remote Administrator Components Upgrade. Technically there is not much difference except task execution differences = server task will require all computers to be available at the same time... client task will be executed when possible. You will also have better overview of task execution when executing as client task. There is also possibility to schedule execution of client task in random time intervals to avoid network traffic peak during installers download.

Ah, I thought that was only to be used on the server to upgrade ERA.
