Maxx2777 0 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 We have some remote users that manually installed the remote agent on their machine. The agent will not connect to server. They are connected to our network via vpn. I have added the eset admin server ip to their host file. Any ideas on this one? They currently have EES v5.0.2260 installed.
ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted August 1, 2016 ESET Staff Posted August 1, 2016 Could you please check AGENT's trace logs, or even better status log: C:\ProgramData\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Agent\EraAgentApplicationData\Logs\status.html for connection errors? There are many possibilities what could be wrong, including most common issues: network issues (i.e. AGENT is connecting to wrong IP or not even able to resolve used hostname) certificate issues (AGENT is successfully connecting, but SERVER's certificate is not signed for used hostname or IP address)
