ESET Smart Security V9 stops "Switch user" functionality from working in Windows 10

I have a new PC and have installed ESS V9. The problem is however, when I "switch user" in Windows 10 I get a screen saying:


Interactive Sign-In process initialization has failed. Check the event log for details


At that point I can't click the OK button, and have to reboot the machine.


This issue goes away if I disable the "Personal Firewall" in ESS. I also found this thread:




Where some people have had the same issue. 


I assume this is not a general issue as I did not have it before. However, it seems the issue seems to be introduced perhaps when installing ESS on a fresh Windows 10 build maybe?


Wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this :).
