ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted July 21, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) The only way that pops in my mind is to get reports of "installed applications" (non-ESET), and then eventually trigger notifications on a specific application vendor name, with a specific substring (avast / avg / ...). comunic 4
thank's ! you think this operation can be automated like 1 times per mounth on all the client connected ?
ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted July 22, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted July 22, 2016 Basically, you have to create dynamic groups for such software installed, and then trigger a notification for the "dynamic group membership change". You can configure frequency, and also number of clients (change). Or you can configure notification for each occurrence, respectively configure throttling for the number of days (or number of hits for the particular notification) - like receive once, per each 10 computers with such software. comunic 4
ok but to create the tempate of the dynamic group, i have to use the filter "installed application" ? because this report only the eset product, am i wrong ?
ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted July 22, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted July 22, 2016 Nope, you can adjust the "ESET Remote Administrator Agent" policy, where in section "advanced settings" / "operating system" / "report non-ESET installed applications". Then it will report also other applications.
comunic 4
yep ! this works. now i know which computers run rog antivirus, can i launch the UNINSTALL Third-party antivirus software task ? i hope this will not uninstall eset ?
ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted July 22, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted July 22, 2016 I would not recommend that. As that is basically a standard "AV Remover" feature, that is able to remove any installed antivirus software regardless the vendor (it is 3rd party library integration). According to this KB article, it will also uninstall ESET: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3527/#removable
