ERA server stops connecting to ESET agents

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Recently ERA server stops connecting to ESET agents, it needs to restart the server to connect again.

I am using ERA 6.3.148 & agent version 6.3.2016 and 6.4.2014.0.

ERA installed on Hyper V virtual appliance.

Please advise on how to troubleshoot the problem.

Thank you.

Hello,

It seems to be a problem (known issue) which is specific to the ERA appliance.

Please follow the steps in this forum post, to resolve it:

https://forum.eset.com/topic/8061-workstations-showing-up-as-unmanaged-in-era-63-and-task-timing-issue/?p=43028

Also, please be aware, that agent - server communication is always initiate by agent, so it´s the agent who connects. Issue could be fixed by the restarting the server, as then, the webconsole data showing "last connected time" gets updated.

Thanks Michal,

I have refered to the link but I’m not familiar with Linux.

I’m done with the backup, where should I put the 2 libraries or how to path the libraries so that I can restore it.

Thanks

Basically you should replace files:

/opt/eset/RemoteAdministrator/Server/DataMiners.so
/opt/eset/RemoteAdministrator/Server/Network.so

with files provided in referenced package. Hardest part is most probably moving files to linux -> you may use any SCP client, for example WinSCP.

There is also README.TXT file in package with example of commands to be used as there is required some post-processing.
