You can change your display name at https://forum.eset.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=displayname but that won't change your login details.
If you want to remove the account altogether and sign up again, please send me a PM with this request, I'll follow it up.

I checked the permissions and indeed only forum staff are allowed this.

Hello "ESET is non-functional" and welcome. To change your user name send a Moderator (https://forum.eset.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras&section=stats&do=leaders) like Marcos or Peter Randziak (or who else may be active today) a personal message by clicking on one of their names and selecting "send me a message" and detail what you want to do and then send.
