mushaf 0
I was trying update my ESET NOD32 installation from v9.0.377.0 to v9.0.381.0 using offline installer. My operating system is Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. The installation failed with error code 1603. I ran the recommended Specialized Cleaner but it didn't find anything. I then tried to uninstall the previous version from control panel and found that the uninstallation was password protected, although I don't remember locking my settings with any password. I confirmed it by going to Advanced Settings. Password prtection was turned off there. Then I booted into safe mode and uninstalled the previous version using ESET Uninstaller following the instruction here. (Uninstaller log attached) I restarted PC and tried to install the newer version again but got the same error. I then tried a few things - Turned of Windows Firewall temporarily. Ran ESETSirefefCleaner as instructed here. Tried the live installer. Tried to install v8 (which also failed with another error 2803). But no luck so far. What can I do now? ~ESETUninstaller.log Edited August 13, 2017 by mushaf
mushaf 0
Well, my issue was automatically resolved after installing the latest Windows updates. I was able to install the latest version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus without any problem afterwards. Edited August 13, 2017 by mushaf
