LinkinForcer 1
Hey guys, So today I was unblocking devices and apps I have like my phone from the blocked application and devices area in ESET 9. I noticed an IP that was listed as an unknown device that I did not recognize. I googled the IP and it came back with an IP Name and Organization of ESET, spol. s r.o. Domain is eset.com and the location is in Slovak Republic. The reputation on it is N/A Is this a spoof or is ESET blocking it's own inbound traffic? Should I leave this blocked? LinkinForcer 1
Just had another IP show up with basically the same result when googled. It is ESET but this time out of the USA with a different IP Name but still lists ESET as the Origination.
Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted May 17, 2016 Administrators Share Posted May 17, 2016 Please do the following: - clear the ESET firewall log - enable advanced firewall logging under Tools -> Diagnostics - restart the computer - reproduce the issue - stop logging - collect logs using ESET Log Collector (hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3466/) - upload the output to a safe location and pm me a download link.
