RyanTsai 3 Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Hi there, Just wondering what condition triggers the "Virus Definition out of date" status message? specifically on Endpoint 5. For instance does it trigger if it detects that virus definition has not been updated for 2(or any other number) of days? if so is this customisable? for instance can I set it so that the status message only appears if virus definition is 7 days old. Also does Remote Administrator Server (5) has a role in this? does it flag clients if it detects client version does not match server version?
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted May 6, 2016 ESET Staff Posted May 6, 2016 In ESET Endpoint Antivirus 5, the status message is automatically triggered after 7 days. It is not possible to configure this setting, this option was however added to Endpoint 6, and is fully configurable via ERA 6. AFAIK, ERA 5, can mark clients that have different virus signatures version, as the ones reported on server. However this has no relation with the status message displayed on the computer.
