Near_Far 4
Hi, I've installed Windows 10 on my Dell Inspiron Mini 1012. Windows acknowledges that the firewall function is being handled by ESET, but it doesn't seem to get that antivirus protection is as well. I am getting constant notifications that Defender needs to run and I have no antivirus protection on. I have a laptop with the same configuration and Defender has never done this on that laptop. How do I get Defender on the netbook to stay off?
ESET Staff Gonzalo Alvarez 66 Posted April 15, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Hi @Near_Far, Is a common error between ESET and Windows 10. I have 2 different laptops (Lenovo and Acer) who also says that, same problem. The protection is normal and working, that's for sure. Your PC is protected. The problem is Windows Security Center doesn't detect ESET. You can try the KB here: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb217/?locale=en_US Try that at first attempt, if fail there are other things to do. I will try to fix my laptops tonight (hope I have time) and we back tomorrow. Edited April 15, 2016 by Gonzalo Alvarez
