casciomusiccompany 0
We have an Exchange Server 2010 running on a Microsoft 2008 Server R2 Standard. We are currently running Eset File Security version 4.5.12017.0. We also run a Barracuda Spam and Virus filter to filter all our incoming and outgoing emails. Should I be running Eset Mail Security or am I good with running Eset File Security? Thanks
ESET Staff Gonzalo Alvarez 66 Posted April 13, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 13, 2016 Hi @casciomusiccompany, Well if you use an Exchange Server then the product is ESET Mail Security for Exchange. You should analyze all 3 software and evaluate which one is better to filter/protect your mail server. Things aside, those products are are 2 different things for 2 different purposes. For a File Server you should use ESET File Security and for Mail Server is ESET Mail Security for Exchange. I have very few knowledge on servers but, I think Files and Mail server run in 2 separated physical machines. Perhaps other guys here can show more light in you doubts. Administrators Marcos 5,243 Posted April 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 14, 2016 It depends on whether you want to have email in Exchange protected or not. If not, EFSW will be enough but install v6 and enable LiveGrid for maximum protection.
