kit 2
Does anyone know where ESET stores the blacklist and whitelist spam settings for a user? Are these settings stored at the computer level or at the user level in ERA somewhere? Just curious if a user's antispam settings would be lost when they receive a new system. ESET Staff Gonzalo Alvarez 65 Posted March 30, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Hi @Kit, No, I'm not. But as is planned ERA has access to all info, you should take a look into ERA or the configuration of the terminal. Also is good if you tell us some data: * what version of ERA you are using? both? * UnInstallations (the 10 times) was using Task or manualy? ESET Staff Solution MichalJ 382 Posted March 31, 2016 ESET Staff Solution Share Posted March 31, 2016 Hello, they are stored within the local configuration on the local computer. What you can do is perfrom a local export of the configuration, before giving the new system to the users and then import it on the new system. As they are "user settings", they are not exported / managed by ESET Remote Administrator. Only "global lists" are managed by ESET Remote Administrator policies.
kit 2
@MichalJ: Thank you very much for your helpful explanation. One more question...how do we perform a local export of the configuration? Edited April 4, 2016 by kit
ESET Staff MichalJ 382 Posted April 4, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) Go to "setup" and click "import/export settings" as per the attached screenshot. Edited April 4, 2016 by MichalJ
