Why does eset reset the protection statistics of "antivirus and antispyware protection" on every startup?

 

This does not happen for the "email client antispam protection" statistics.

 

The online helps of ESS are wrong and describes an reset for the "email client antispam protection" statistics on every startup:

Even in v4 they are reset at startup, but I just noticed the scanned objects counting do not correspond to cleaned objects, it could be that files inside compound objects are counted too
