kmart 0
I was trying to get jumbo frames working on a PC that dual boots Windows 7 & Windows XP. It works fine in Windows 7 but the Eset Smart Security firewall seems to block/disable jumbo frames in Windows XP. (I was running v6.0.316.) When I have jumbo frames enabled, if I untick the box next to "Eset Personal Firewall" in my network card configuration, jumbo frames work fine. But if I re-enable it (tick the box), then jumbo frames are disabled again. I've read about this being a problem with previous versions of Smart Security but I thought it had been fixed. And it doesn't seem to cause a problem in Windows 7, just with XP. Has anyone been able to get jumbo frames working in XP? Is there some setting I need to change? Administrators Marcos 5,278 Posted August 22, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 22, 2013 I assume it's because Windows XP didn't support lightweight drivers yet. Jumbo frames are supported in the ESET lightweight filter as of v6.
