Guest Toxic Arrow
I was using ESS V7 Beta. On two occasions I randomly received 'PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA'. The computer restarts in safe mode but fails to boot up normally hence rendering it almost unusable. The bsod was fixed by uninstalling ESS V7. The problem I encountered is random and it was at least a month since v7 was functioning smoothly. Can anybody please explain the problem ? Administrators Marcos 4,909 Posted August 15, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 15, 2013 A dump should have been created when BSOD occurred. Check if the file c:\windows\memory.dmp exists and look at the date and time of creation to make sure it's from the last crash. If the file doesn't exist, look for minidumps in C:\Windows\Minidump. Compress the dump(s), upload them to a safe location and pm me the download link.
VidKo 1
I received the same problem today. 3 times in a row. The mentioned file was EM008_64_xxxx.dat (xxxx was different each time). I uninstalled ESS and I was able to login. Marcos, I have the minidump
