Netgear Usb Control Center

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have a win XP PC and have bought a Router Netgear DGND3700v2.

To share a printer through my home network I use a little program provided by netgear called Netgear usb control center.

The problem is that:

if I use the netgear program with smart security firewall ON, Xp crashes with blue screen.

if the firewall is OFF, everything works correctly.

I tried to create an exception in the ids area for the program, to create rules to allow the process to bypass the firewall, but nothing worked.

There are no yellow question marks on any driver or peripheral.

Windows firewall is disabled in both cases.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Please configure Windows to generate complete memory dumps (hxxp://support.eset.com/kb380/) and reproduce BSOD. After a restart, compress the dump, upload it to a safe location and pm me the download link. Most likely the issue with the 3rd party driver which clashes with ESS' driver but we'll need the dump to confirm this.

However, the tool seems to be quite old as the drivers netgearUDSMBus.sys and netgearUDSTcpBus.sys seem to be from 2012.

I tried to follow instructions as I never did a memory dump.

You sholud find the requested file attached here:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3g01oEIOlqzc213a0RqNG9JUk0/view?usp=sharing

called memory.rar.

Hope it helps.

About the utility, it seems it is the only way to use the print-server-like utility built in the router.

Thanks for helping
