feroz 0
Hi, Is there anyway to set Era server to Download update on Local drive to serve clients. So clients pc can directly take update from Shared driver instead of going through Internet.
Administrators Marcos 4,920 Posted February 21, 2016 Administrators Share Posted February 21, 2016 We strongly recommend using an HTTP proxy server for this purpose and to save network traffic. Of course, you can still create a local mirror using a v6 product (Endpoint, EFSW, EMXS) or the Offline Mirror tool downloadable from the ERA download page if you don't care about the traffic. ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted February 25, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted February 25, 2016 Hello, Have you used this guide? hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3637/ Update server has to be set to "autoselect" when Apache HTTP proxy is used.
dpklapwijk 0
Use the mirrorTool (hxxp://help.eset.com/era_install/62/en-US/index.html?mirror_tool_linux.htm) The HTTP Proxy sucks; after weeks of troubleshooting with the supportdesk we did not get this to work on our network. Switched to the Mirrortool and it works in a few minutes. The mirrortool will download the updates to a local folder, share this folder and point your clients to this shared folder.
