CMS 8
Hi folks, Since updating to ERA Server v6 I'm grappling with how to resolve a number of tasks... I have some ESET Endpoints which are 6.0.12035.0. But the ESET Applications tab in ERA is telling me they're out-of-date. I don't see an obvious way to upgrade these endpoints. I can see a Component Upgrade task for the ERA Server, but not for endpoints. Do I just use the Software Install task? I'm using ERA Server 6.2.171.0. ESET Moderators TomasP 302 Posted November 30, 2015 ESET Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2015 Yes, Software Install Task is the correct way to install newer versions of products on the existing clients.
Administrators Marcos 4,720 Posted November 30, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2015 Is it actually a "Security product" that is reporting to be out of date? Isn't it another ERA component, such as agent?
CMS 8
In this case it's ESET Endpoint Antivirus on a client. I'm also seeing that the ESET Rogue Detection Sensor is out-of-date on the server. I've tried a component upgrade, but that hasn't resolved it. I'm assuming it needs some separate upgrade? CMS 8
When I try and upgrade to a newer v6 EEA it fails. When I look in the TRACE.LOG on the client I see messages over and over about the server actively refusing the connection. Yet the firewall at least is not turned on. Any ideas? 2015-12-01 11:03:54 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 3ca4]: CReplicationManager: Replication (network) connection to 'host: "server.domain.local" port: 2222' failed with: (0x274d), No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 2015-12-01 11:04:54 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 2378]: CReplicationManager: Replication (network) connection to 'host: "server.domain.local" port: 2222' failed with: (0x274d), No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 2015-12-01 11:05:54 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 3f44]: CReplicationManager: Replication (network) connection to 'host: "server.domain.local" port: 2222' failed with: (0x274d), No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 2015-12-01 11:09:01 Error: CSystemConnectorModule [Thread 3208]: Software installation failed: Package not found 2015-12-01 11:10:55 Error: CSystemConnectorModule [Thread 3208]: Software installation failed: Package not found 2015-12-01 11:10:55 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 296c]: CReplicationManager: Failed to start replication, connection for replication link '00000000-0000-0000-7007-000000000001' (Automatic replication (OUT_OF_ORDER)) is already pending 2015-12-01 11:12:54 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 38f4]: CReplicationManager: Replication (network) connection to 'host: "server.domain.local" port: 2222' failed with: (0x274d), No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 2015-12-01 11:13:54 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 35ec]: CReplicationManager: Replication (network) connection to 'host: "server.domain.local" port: 2222' failed with: (0x274d), No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 2015-12-01 11:26:55 Error: CSystemConnectorModule [Thread 3208]: Software installation failed: Package not found 2015-12-01 11:26:55 Error: CReplicationModule [Thread 24e8]: CReplicationManager: Failed to start replication, connection for replication link '00000000-0000-0000-7007-000000000001' (Automatic replication (OUT_OF_ORDER)) is already pending 2015-12-01 13:17:00 Error: CSystemConnectorModule [Thread 3208]: Software installation failed: Package not found
Administrators Solution Marcos 4,720 Posted December 1, 2015 Administrators Solution Share Posted December 1, 2015 I see an error 'package not found' in the log. Did you create a new Install task with a current package from ESET's repository?
CMS 8
I hadn't tried that, but with these test machines I ended up manually installing. I tried recreating the task for a further test machine, and curiously that has now installed. So I will try that for further tests. (I need to roll this out to 500 PCs, so *really* want to get the task based deployment working from the ERA)
