Running 8 and no updates to 9 from the V8 GUI?

Probably already asked but I didn't see it.

 

I'm running V8 and when I click in the GUI for Product Update it doesn't offer V9. Is it normal?

 

I guess I will be downloading the V9 and install it over V8.

That's normal. V9 is quite new so we're not going to force everybody to update to it soon. V8 provides the same level of protection with LiveGrid and other protection modules enabled. Basically the most significant difference in terms of functionality is Banking and Payment Protection which was first added in ESS v9.

Marco, I hate to step on this thread BUT when will ESET force us to update? Version 9 did not work for me and I have licenses lasting thru 2018.

Eset has versions all the way back to version 3 available for download.  My guess would be not any time soon.

Someone from Eset can give you a more definitive answer.

I'm also staying with v 8.  I have too many problems with v 9.

1. Scan crashing.

2. Unable to boot.  Not good.
