AlexB 0
I've been having problems recently accessing secure sites using any browser (Firefox, Microsoft Edge etc) installed on my system, receiving (in the case of Firefox) the error message: "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified." Tonight I went into NOD32's settings and, in the Web Protocols section, disabled "HTTPS checking". This solved my problem immediately. Has anyone else experienced this and how dangerous is it to disable this setting? Since my ISP is Plusnet, my test case is https://portal.plus.net. I'm running NOD32 9.0.318.0 on Windows 10, version 1511 build 10586.11 (64-bit). AlexB
khairulaizat92 9
Hi i experienced it too, but in only few certain cases. I own a shop and provide services to them. I have this one PC and i installed ess with default configuration SSL TLS scan "on". i found out that i cant access some sites that using ssl. Then i disable the ssl scanner and everything went fine again. But its hard to recreate the issues, as after that im installed ESET on my other 2 laptops it went fine without any problem. out of 20 of my client recently installed eset. only 1 comeback with the issue of unable to access site like Facebook. But again its hard to recreate the issues that we could submit the report to eset. as its rarely happened.
AlexB 0
Your experience is similar to mine. The problem occurs on my desktop but not on my laptop. AlexB
