Sanjeev Velmurugan 0
How can i password protect installations on Mac machines that users can`t disable or access advanced settings of the security product? For Windows i can set this with a policy, but i`m unable to find one for Mac. Thanks regards,
Administrators Marcos 5,267 Posted November 10, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2015 On Mac you define privileged users who are entitled to change settings. There's no password protection like on Windows.
j-gray 37
On Mac you define privileged users who are entitled to change settings. There's no password protection like on Windows. Could you please clarify? I'm finding that users can manipulate client settings, which we do not want. For example, they can enable things that are disabled by policy, such as Device Control. And they can disable things like Anti-Phishing protection, etc. and even shut down the client. How can we block clients from changing settings? ESET Moderators foneil 342 Posted December 2, 2015 ESET Moderators Share Posted December 2, 2015 We have a Knowledgebase article for doing this (adding privileged user) with ERA5; the concept is the same for ERA6 and the steps are identical when doing it on the client hxxp://support.eset.com/kb2823/
