Smart Security in Interactive mode is no longer asking for my input.

I'm using ESET Smart Security 4, and recently I've noticed, that although in Interactive Filtering mode, it has stopped popping up to ask for Allow/Deny confirmation on programs trying to access the internet.

 

It seems to just be auto-blocking everything, forcing me to set up manual rules each time I use a new program.. which can get kind of tedious.

 

I've heard this is a common problem? Is there a fix for it?

If egui.exe is running, couldn't it be that you've recently connected remotely via Remote Desktop or there are more users logged on at a time?

No, there's only one user on this computer and I've never used the remote desktop program.

Does the problem persist even after a computer restart? I'd suggest installing ESS v6 or v7 beta just in case the issue was caused by a bug in old v4 versions.
