Administrators Marcos 4,693 Posted August 1, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2013 Please submit prefs-1.js to ESET as per the instruction here and with a link to this topic enclosed. Although it's unlikely to be false positive, we'd like to check it out to make sure.
Guest Al
Was there any fix for this as I've hit the same issue? The only way round I've found is to disable unwanted application checking which I'd rather not do. Thanks Al
Vaclav 0
Hi, I have exactly the same problem. Is there any solution except disabling virus protection? Thanks Vaclav
Administrators Marcos 4,693 Posted October 25, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 25, 2013 All prefs*.js files that we've received and analyzed had Firefox security features disabled. Please submit your files to ESET as per the instructions here if you think that your files are safe and are detected erroneously. Note that these files are not detected as malware but as PUA (potentially unwanted applications) which is an optional detection.
Arakasi 549
In addition to what Marcos stated, to help ..... Optional, meaning..... you and any other user / person can turn off or disable that feature, and it will be allowed after the fact. Just so were all clear Edited October 26, 2013 by Arakasi
