ESET Smart Security 9 heavier than the version 8?

Hi all, I have version ESET Smart Security 9 scanning is slower or am I wrong? In Version 8 on my computer 16 gigs of ram and now slower, other friends also notice that the version 9 is slow to scan?

Do you mean on-demand or real-time scanning?
