Wallaby 1 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I remember that once, on wilders, there was a thread that contained the best settings for NOD32 (I think it talked about version 4 or previous ones) Do you have something similar for version 8? Any suggestion to "improve" the default settings that come after the installation?
Administrators Solution Marcos 5,742 Posted October 8, 2015 Administrators Solution Posted October 8, 2015 There's no need for such guide as default settings provide best balance between protection and usability / performance. What you could improve is: 1, enable SSL scanning 2, switch HIPS to Smart mode 3, create some specific HIPS rules (e.g. a rule to ask whenever an application with no rule created attempts to run).
Wallaby 1 Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 2, switch HIPS to Smart mode Switched to Smart... do I have to "check" the "Allow registry and driver loading etc. etc. rule" to be active? It seems it is not active by default...
